Garbh Eilean is a forested island in Loch Maree, Wester Ross, Scotland. Garbh Eilean lies between Eilean Sùbhainn and Eilean Ruairidh Mòr. The islands are among the least disturbed in Britain.

Eilean Ruairidh Mòr is a forested island in Loch Maree, Wester Ross, Scotland. Its name was formerly anglicised as "Ellan-Rorymore". The island is owned by Forestry and Land Scotland, as is the Slattadale Forest on the southern shore of Loch Maree.

Beinn Airigh Charr is a mountain in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland. It lies in Wester Ross, on the northern side of Loch Maree, near to the village of Poolewe. The mountain is north of the wild Torridon Hills, and offers magnificent views from its summit. Beinn Airigh Charr is situated 2 miles northeast of Loch Maree.

Poolewe is a small village in Wester Ross in the North West Highlands of Scotland, about 75 miles northwest of Inverness, by Loch Ewe. The River Ewe, one of the shortest in Scotland, joins the sea less than one mile from Inverewe Garden, renowned for its subtropical plants. Poolewe is situated 6 miles northwest of Loch Maree.
