The Long Mountain transmitting station is sited on a 400 metres ridge about 4 kilometres east of Welshpool in Powys, Mid Wales and has been broadcasting UHF terrestrial TV and VHF FM radio services since the late 1970s.

Welshpool railway station serves the town of Welshpool, in Powys, mid-Wales. It is a stop on the Cambrian Line between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth. The station was first opened in August 1860, but was resited a short distance away in May 1992 to allow for track realignment on the same day that the original closed.
