Loch Earn
Loch Earn is a freshwater loch in the southern highlands of Scotland, in the districts of Perth and Kinross and Stirling. The name is thought to mean "Loch of Scotland", and it has been suggested that this might derive from the time when the Gaels were expanding their kingdom of Dál Riata eastwards into Pictland.Photo: Inafinus, CC BY-SA 3.0.

The village lies at the eastern end of Loch Earn, 5 miles west of Comrie on the A85 road, at the point where the River Earn leaves the loch. St Fillans is situated 4½ miles east of Loch Earn.
