Aberllefenni quarry is the collective name of three slate mines, Foel Grochan, Hen Gloddfa and Ceunant Ddu, located in Cwm Hengae, just to the west of Aberllefenni, Gwynedd, North Wales.

Corris is a small village in the hills of Gwynedd, on the border with Powys. In the 19th century it was a slate-mining town and has many remnants of those times, especially the narrow-gauge railway, which has been restored.

Corris Uchaf, also known as Upper Corris, is a village in the south of Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd, Wales. The slate quarries that surround Corris Uchaf are its most prominent feature. It lies about 1.5 miles north of Corris. Corris Uchaf is situated 1½ miles west of Aberllefenni.

Esgairgeiliog is situated 2½ miles south of Aberllefenni.
