The Lighthouse of Genoa, known as La Lanterna, is the main light serving the Port of Genoa. Besides being an important aid to night navigation in the vicinity, the tower serves as a symbol and a landmark for the city of Genoa. Lighthouse of Genoa is situated 530 metres northwest of Molo Giano.

The Aquarium of Genoa is the largest aquarium in Italy and one of the most significant in Europe. It is located in the Old Harbour area of Genoa, Liguria, and was designed by the architect Renzo Piano as part of the urban redevelopment project created for the Expo 1992, celebrating the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s voyage to the Americas. Aquarium of Genoa is situated 1½ km northeast of Molo Giano.
