Leighlinbridge Castle, also called Black Castle, is in the village of Leighlinbridge, County Carlow, Ireland, on the River Barrow. The early castle was built c.1181 for the Normans.

Old Leighlin, also Oldleighlin, is a village, civil parish and townland in County Carlow, Ireland. The village is 3.5 km west of Leighlinbridge. The site was at one time one of the foremost monastic houses in Leinster, with 1,500 monks in residence.

Leighlinbridge is a town in County Carlow, with an ancient bridge over the River Barrow that's still in use. It stood astride the main Dublin-Waterford road until bypassed in the 1980s. In 2022 its population was less than 1,000.

Ballinabranna or Ballinabrannagh is a small village in County Carlow, Ireland. It is located approximately 8 kilometres south of Carlow and 5 kilometres from Junction 6 of the M9 motorway. Ballinabranagh is situated 4½ km north of Seskin Lower.
