Mount Barren

Mount Barren is a mountain, 645 metres high, standing west of Husvik Harbour on the north coast of South Georgia. Its name is descriptive, and was probably given by the Discovery Investigations in 1926–30. Mount Barren is situated 3½ km west of Husvik Harbour.
Blechnum Peaks
Peak
Blechnum Peaks are three peaks, the highest 640 metres high, on the north–south ridge between Gulbrandsen Lake and Olsen Valley on the north coast of South Georgia. Blechnum Peaks is situated 3 km south of Husvik Harbour.
Parochlus Lake
Lake
Parochlus Lake is a shallow lake at the head of Karrakatta Valley, to the west-northwest of Husvik Harbor, South Georgia. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1990 after the midge Parochlus steinenii, whose larvae abound near the margins of the lake. Parochlus Lake is situated 3 km west of Husvik Harbour.

Husvik is a former whaling station on the north-central coast of South Georgia Island. It was one of three such stations in Stromness Bay, the other two being Stromness and Leith Harbour.

Leith Harbour, also known as Port Leith, was a whaling station on the northeast coast of South Georgia, established and operated by Christian Salvesen Ltd, Edinburgh. Leith Harbour is situated 4½ km north of Husvik Harbour.
