Fort Halifax

Fort Halifax is a former British outpost on the banks of the Sebasticook River, just above its mouth at the Kennebec River, in Winslow, Maine. Originally built as a wooden palisaded fort in 1754, during the French and Indian War, only a single blockhouse survives.

The Waterville Opera House and City Hall is a historic civic building at Castonguay Square in downtown Waterville, Maine. Built at the turn of the 20th century, it is one of a small number of multifunction civic buildings, housing both a live performance venue and municipal facilities, functions it continues to perform today. Waterville Opera House and City Hall is situated 1½ miles northeast of Messalonskee Stream Reservoir.

The First Baptist Church is a historic church at 1 Park Street in Waterville, Maine. Built in 1826, it is the city's oldest standing public building. It was renovated in 1875 to a design by Francis H. First Baptist Church is situated 1½ miles northeast of Messalonskee Stream Reservoir.

Developed most intensively in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this area was the center of commerce for Waterville and the surrounding rural communities.
