Hermits Rest is a structure built in 1914 at the western end of Hermit Road at the south rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, United States. The Hermit Trail, a hiking trail that extends to the Colorado River, begins about ¼ mile beyond the shuttle bus stop at Hermits Rest. Hermits Rest is situated 2,300 feet south of Hermit Trail.

Whites Butte is a 4,860-foot prominence adjacent the course of the Colorado River near the beginning of the Western Grand Canyon. The butte lies at the terminus of Travertine Canyon, the adjacent canyon west of Hermit Canyon. Whites Butte is situated 2½ miles northwest of Hermit Trail.
