The North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve is a nature reserve of 3,315 acres located three miles north of Oroville, in Butte County, northern California. The land was acquired by the state in October, 1993. North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve is situated 2 miles north of Schirmer Ravine.

One of the first mining camps in the county, it was established in the autumn of 1848 by a party of Oregonians, who came to California over the Applegate and Lassen trails.
