Montesilvano is a city and comune of the province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Abruzzo is often called Mare-Monti region. The name Montesilvano is apparently derived from the Latin which means "woody hill".

Spoltore is a comune and town in the province of Pescara in the Abruzzo region of Italy, with a population of c. 17,000. In 1928, Spoltore was annexed into Pescara, but separated from it again on 1 September 1947. Spoltore is situated 5 km south of Montesilvano.
