Canvey Island
Canvey Island is a town, civil parish and island in the Thames Estuary. It forms part of the Castle Point district of Essex, England. It is separated from the mainland of south Essex by a network of creeks, but is connected to the mainland by bridges.Places of Interest

Hadleigh Castle

Hadleigh Castle is a ruined fortification in the English county of Essex, overlooking the Thames Estuary from south of the town of Hadleigh. Built after 1215 during the reign of Henry III by Hubert de Burgh, the castle was surrounded by parkland and had an important economic and defensive role.

Canvey Lake is an 8.3 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Canvey Island in Essex. It is owned by Castle Point Borough Council and managed by the council together with Canvey Island Town Council.

Hadleigh is a town in the borough of Castle Point, in the south-east of Essex, England. It lies on the A13 road between Thundersley, Benfleet and Leigh-on-Sea. The A127 'Southend Arterial Road' bypasses the town to the north. Hadleigh is situated 2½ miles north of Canvey Island.
