Great Mosque of Aleppo

The Great Mosque of Aleppo, also known as the Great Umayyad Mosque of Aleppo, was the largest and one of the oldest mosques in the city of Aleppo, Syria, first built during the Umayyad Caliphate. Great Mosque of Aleppo is situated 4 km southwest of Al Hallak.

The Ancient City of Aleppo is the historic city centre of Aleppo, Syria. Prior to the Syrian Civil War, many districts of the ancient city remained essentially unchanged since they were initially constructed between the 11th and 16th centuries. Aleppo Old City is situated 3½ km south of Al Hallak.

Saint Elijah Cathedral, is an Eastern Catholic church in Aleppo, Syria, located in the Christian quarter of al-Jdayde. It is named after the Biblical prophet Elijah. The church was built in 1873, replacing an older Maronite Church. It was renovated in 1914. Saint Elias Cathedral;Maronite Cathedral is situated 3 km southwest of Al Hallak.

Al-Jdayde is a historic predominantly Christian neighbourhood of Aleppo. Noted for its winding narrow alleys, richly decorated mansions and churches—it is an area of significant cultural and historical interest. Al Jdeida is situated 3 km southwest of Al Hallak.
