The Port of Ashdod is one of 's three main cargo ports. The port is located in , about 40 kilometers south of , adjoining the mouth of the Lachish River.

Ashdod Naval Base, also known as Southern Arena by the Israeli Navy, is a naval base located in the port city of near the Port of Ashdod. It plays an important role in the surveillance and blockade of the Gaza Strip, as well as in protecting the Port of Ashdod. is situated 1¼ km southwest of Port of Ashdod.
