Ashdod Naval Base, also known as Southern Arena by the Israeli Navy, is a naval base located in the port city of Ashdod near the Port of Ashdod. It plays an important role in the surveillance and blockade of the Gaza Strip, as well as in protecting the Port of Ashdod. Naval Base Ashdod is situated 1¼ km southwest of Port of Ashdod.

The Eshkol Power Station is a power station supplying electrical power to the Shephelah region in Israel. It is located in north industrial zone of Ashdod near the mouth of the Lakhish River, close to the port of Ashdod and the Ashdod Oil Refineries which provided the plant with fuel oil prior to its conversion to use natural gas. Eshkol Power Station is situated 1½ km northeast of Port of Ashdod.

Nir Galim is a religious moshav shitufi in south-central Israel, adjacent to the city of Ashdod. Located in the southern coastal plain, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Yavne Regional Council. In 2023 it had a population of 1,252. Nir Galim is situated 3½ km east of Port of Ashdod.
