The Eshkol Power Station is a power station supplying electrical power to the Shephelah region in Israel. The Port of Ashdod is one of Israel's three main cargo ports. The port is located in Ashdod, about 40 kilometers south of Tel Aviv, adjoining the mouth of the Lachish River. Port of Ashdod is situated 1½ km southwest of Eshkol Power Station.

It plays an important role in the surveillance and blockade of the Gaza Strip, as well as in protecting the Port of Ashdod. Naval Base Ashdod is situated 3 km southwest of Eshkol Power Station.

The Yud-Alef Stadium is a football stadium in Ashdod, Israel, that was built for local football sides Maccabi Ashdod, Beitar Ashdod and Hapoel Ashdod. The stadium was given the name "Yud-Alef" in 1973, after the eleven Israeli athletes murdered in the Munich massacre. Yud-Alef Stadium is situated 3½ km south of Eshkol Power Station.
