Nant Gwynant is a valley in northern Wales. The A498 road descends 600 feet into the valley in about two miles from Pen-y-Gwryd; it follows the Nant Cynnyd, the Afon Glaslyn and alongside Llyn Gwynant, then beside the Nant Gwynant river to Llyn Dinas and passing below Dinas Emrys to Beddgelert.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Snowdon, or Yr Wyddfa, is a mountain in Snowdonia in North Wales. It has an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, which makes it both the highest mountain in Wales and the highest in the British Isles south of the Scottish Highlands. Snowdon is situated 2½ miles northwest of Nant Gwynant.

The current spelling of the name Nantmor is more modern – most old documents from the 16th to the 18th century record the name as Nanmor. Nantmor is situated 3½ miles southwest of Nant Gwynant.
