Maharda is a Christian city in western Syria, administratively part of the Hama Governorate, located about 23 kilometers northwest of Hama. It is situated along the Orontes River, near the Ghab plain.

Al-Zakah is a Syrian town located in the Kafr Zita Subdistrict of the Mahardah District in Hama Governorate. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics, al-Zakah had a population of 1,771 in the 2004 census. Al-Zakah is situated 5 km northeast of Mhardeh District.
