Azaz is a city in northwest Syria, roughly 20 miles north-northwest of Aleppo. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics, Azaz had a population of 31,623 at the 2004 census.

Menagh is a town near Azaz 16 km North of Aleppo in northwestern Aleppo Governorate of northern Syria. Administratively part of Nahiya Azaz, Manaq had a population of 2,128 in the 2004 census. Menagh is situated 7 km south of Sāḩat ar Ra’īs.

Qaṭma also spelled Katma is a village in northwestern Syria, within the Afrin District. It lay within the de facto Afrin Canton of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria since January 2014, until it was captured by the Syrian National Army on March 7, 2018. Qatma is situated 7 km west of Sāḩat ar Ra’īs.
