The Umayyad Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque of Damascus, located in the old city of Damascus, the capital of Syria, is one of the largest and oldest mosques in the world. Umayyad Mosque is situated 400 metres south of Jāmi‘ al Jawzah.

Bab al-Faradis

Bab al-Faradis or Bab al-Amara is one of the seven ancient city-gates of Damascus, Syria. The other name, Bab Al-Amara, refers to a name of a district in the old city where people in the 14th century would meet. Bab al-Faradis is situated 160 metres southwest of Jāmi‘ al Jawzah.

Sayyidah Ruqayya Shrine

The Sayyida Ruqayya Mosque is a Twelver Shia mosque and mausoleum complex, located in Damascus, Syria. The complex contains the grave of Sukainah, also known as "Ruqayya", the young daughter of Al-Husayn ibn Ali. Sayyidah Ruqayya Shrine is situated 200 metres south of Jāmi‘ al Jawzah.
