Quneitra is the largely destroyed and abandoned capital of the Quneitra Governorate in south-western Syria. It is situated in a high valley in the Golan Heights at 1,010 metres above sea level.

The international community considers Israeli settlements in the Golan Heights illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this. Ein Zivan is situated 9 km southwest of Rasm Sharīdah.
