Hval station is a railroad station on the Roa–Hønefoss Line, near Hval in Ringerike, Buskerud, Norway. The station opened in 1909 when the Bergen Railway was expanded from Hønefoss to Roa.

Åsbygda is a small village in Ringerike municipality of Buskerud, Norway. Åsbygda can be said to include the areas along the Randselva river, down towards the village of Viul and north to the county border at Jevnaker on the Randsfjorden in Oppland. Åsbygda is situated 3½ km northeast of Søndre Hval.
