Baron Hotel, is the oldest hotel that currently operates in Syria. It is located on Baron street in down-town Aleppo's Aziziyeh district. The Baron has sustained some civil war-related minor damage but is still standing.

Saint Elijah Cathedral, is an Eastern Catholic church in Aleppo, Syria, located in the Christian quarter of al-Jdayde. It is named after the Biblical prophet Elijah. The church was built in 1873, replacing an older Maronite Church. It was renovated in 1914. Saint Elias Cathedral;Maronite Cathedral is situated 500 metres northeast of Riga Palace.
