The Euphrates Dam, most commonly known as Tabqa Dam; formerly known as al-Thawra Dam during the Ba'athist era, is an embankment dam on the Euphrates, located 40 kilometres upstream from the city of Raqqa in Raqqa Governorate, Syria. Euphrates Dam is situated 3 km north of Masjid aţ Ţabaqah.
