Eday is one of the Orkney Islands of Scotland. It's about 15 miles north of the Orkney Mainland, 8 miles long by a mile wide but pinched in the middle: in Old Norse Eiðøy means "isthmus island".

Muckle Green Holm is an uninhabited island in the North Isles of the Orkney archipelago in Scotland. It is roughly 28 hectares in extent and rises to 28 metres above sea level, the summit having a triangulation pillar. Muckle Green Holm is situated 2½ miles southwest of Ward Hill (Eday).
