Hallforest Castle is a keep, one of the oldest in Scotland, as it dates from the 14th century. It is about a mile and a half from Kintore, in Aberdeenshire. Alternative names are Castle of Hallforrest, Hall Forest Castle or simply Hallforrest. Hallforest Castle is situated 2 miles east of Leschangie Hill.

Fetternear Bishop's Palace is an archaeological site of what was one of the palaces of the medieval bishops of Aberdeen. It is near Kemnay in Aberdeenshire. Later, a ruined tower-house and mansion of Fetternear House were built on part of the site. Fetternear Palace is situated 2 miles northwest of Leschangie Hill.
