Knockan Crag lies within the North West Highlands Geopark in the Assynt region of Scotland 21 kilometres north of Ullapool. During the nineteenth century Knockan Crag became the subject of much debate when geologists noted that the Moine schists at the top of the crag appeared to be older than the Cambrian and Ordovician rocks such as Durness limestone lower down.

Cùl Beag is a mountain in Coigach, in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland. It is 15 km north of Ullapool and lies to the south of Cùl Mòr, and to the east of the better-known but lower Stac Pollaidh. Cùl Beag is situated 2 miles west of Druim Donn.

The village contains a telephone box, a post box, a tearoom, a Scottish Mountaineering Club Hut, Grampian Speleological Group Hut, a small caravan site and many self-catering options. Elphin is situated 3 miles northeast of Druim Donn.
