Taghaigh

Taghaigh, also known as Tahay, is an island in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The name originates from the Old Norse tagg-øy meaning island with a prominent hill.

Sursaigh is an island off North Uist in the Sound of Harris, Scotland. It lies 8 kilometres northeast of the village of Lochmaddy and there are numerous nearby islands including Stromay, Sgarabhaigh and Tahay.

Ceallasaigh Mòr

Island

Ceallasaigh Mòr is a low-lying island in Loch Maddy off North Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. This an area of shallow lagoons filled and drained by the tides each day. Ceallasaigh Beag lies to the south and these two islets are connected by a narrow strip of sand at low tide. Ceallasaigh Mòr is situated 2½ miles southwest of Rusgaigh.

Weavers Point is a headland to the north of the entrance to Loch Maddy, on the north eastern coastline of North Uist in the Western Isles of Scotland. There has been a lighthouse on the headland since 1980. Weavers Point is situated 3 miles south of Rusgaigh.

North Uist is an island in the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides of Scotland. It measures 20 miles north-south, 25 miles east-west, and is separated from Benbecula to the south by a tidal ford, nowadays bridged by a causeway. Lochmaddy is situated 4 miles south of Rusgaigh.

Otternish is the former North Uist terminal for the ferry to Berneray, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. The slipway lies 6 miles north of Lochmaddy, and is situated within the parish of North Uist. Otternish is situated 4 miles northwest of Rusgaigh.
