Taghaigh

Taghaigh, also known as Tahay, is an island in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The name originates from the Old Norse tagg-øy meaning island with a prominent hill.

Sursaigh is an island off North Uist in the Sound of Harris, Scotland. It lies 8 kilometres northeast of the village of Lochmaddy and there are numerous nearby islands including Stromay, Sgarabhaigh and Tahay.

Otternish is the former North Uist terminal for the ferry to Berneray, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. The slipway lies 6 miles north of Lochmaddy, and is situated within the parish of North Uist. Otternish is situated 3½ miles northwest of Maillstrom.

Weavers Point

Weavers Point is a headland to the north of the entrance to Loch Maddy, on the north eastern coastline of North Uist in the Western Isles of Scotland. There has been a lighthouse on the headland since 1980. Weavers Point is situated 3½ miles south of Maillstrom.
