Waun Fach is, with a summit height of 811 metres, the highest mountain in the Black Mountains in south-eastern Wales. It is one of the three Marilyns over 600 m that make up the range, the others being Black Mountain and Mynydd Troed.

Mynydd Llysiau

Mynydd Llysiau is a subsidiary summit of Waun Fach in the Black Mountains in south-eastern Wales. It lies halfway between Waun Fach and Pen Allt-mawr. It is a distinguished summit with a steep eastern face.

Pen y Gadair Fawr

Pen y Gadair Fawr is an 800 metres high subsidiary summit of Waun Fach and the second highest peak in the Black Mountains in south-eastern Wales. Marked by a medium-sized cairn, it is a much more distinguished top than its parent 1.5 km to the northwest.

Capel-y-ffin is a hamlet near the English-Welsh border, a couple of miles north of Llanthony in Powys, Wales. It lies within the Black Mountains and within the Brecon Beacons National Park. The nearest town is Hay-on-Wye, some 8 miles to the northwest. Capel-y-ffin is situated 3 miles northeast of Blaen Grywyne-fechan.

Llanelieu is a small settlement and former civil parish in Powys, Wales on the northern edge of the Black Mountains within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Llanelieu is situated 3½ miles northwest of Blaen Grywyne-fechan.
