Gartly is an inland hamlet in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It is several miles south of the town of Huntly, and sits on the River Bogie, a tributary of the River Deveron. The parish in which it is located also takes its name. Gartly is situated 2½ miles southeast of Drumbulg.

Dunbennan is a settlement near Huntly, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The name comes from the Gaelic dun-beinnean, or the fort of the little hill, and originally denoted what is now Dunbennan Hill. Dunbennan is situated 3½ miles north of Drumbulg.
