Cornhill is a small village close to Banff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It lies 5 miles to the south of Portsoy. The village was originally a burgh of a feudal barony and is now a farming community. Cornhill is situated 2½ miles southwest of St Brandan’s Stanes.

Portsoy is a fishing village 8 miles west of Banff on the north coast of Aberdeenshire in northeast Scotland. It has a picturesque harbour often used as a film and TV location, such as the 2016 remake of Whisky Galore! In 2020 the population was 1690.
