Trimontium was a Roman fort complex located at Newstead, near Melrose, in the Scottish Borders, beneath the three Eildon Hills which almost certainly gave it its name. Trimontium is situated 1,400 feet southwest of Trimontium Monument.

Eildon Hill lies just south of Melrose, Scotland in the Scottish Borders, overlooking the town. The name is usually pluralised into "the Eildons" or "Eildon Hills", because of its triple peak. Eildon Hill is situated 1¼ miles southwest of Trimontium Monument.
