Dora Observatory is on the South Korean side of the 38th parallel. Situated on top of Dorasan in Paju, the observatory provides scenic views across the Demilitarized Zone. Dorasan Observatory is situated 1¼ km north of Dorasan.

Daeseong-dong is a village in South Korea close to the North Korean border. It lies within the Korean Demilitarized Zone. The village is about 1.6 kilometres south of the Bridge of No Return, and 12 km from the city of Kaesong, North Korea. Daeseong-dong is situated 6 km northwest of Dorasan.
