Balgonie Castle is located on the south bank of the River Leven near Milton of Balgonie, 3.5 kilometres east of Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland. The castle keep dates from the 14th century, and the remaining structures were added piecemeal until the 18th century.

Markinch railway station is a railway station in Markinch, Fife, Scotland, which serves the Glenrothes, Leslie and Levenmouth areas of Fife. The station is managed by ScotRail and is on the main Edinburgh to Aberdeen Line, 33+1⁄4 miles north of Edinburgh Waverley.
