Leadhills railway station

Leadhills railway station was opened on 1 October 1901 as the intermediate stop on the Leadhills and Wanlockhead Light Railway and served the lead mining area, farms and the village of Leadhills circa 5.5 miles WSW of Elvanfoot railway station in South Lanarkshire until 2 January 1939 for passengers and freight. Leadhills railway station is situated 3,000 feet southwest of Old lead mine.

Dun Law is a hill in the Lowther Hills range, part of the Southern Uplands of Scotland. It is the next Donald after Green Lowther, the highest point of the ridge, when walking northeast and is usually ascended from this direction. Dun Law is situated 1½ miles southeast of Old lead mine.
