Bryntail lead mine is a disused lead mine near Llanidloes in Powys, Wales. Sited on the Afon Clywedog and in the shadow on the Clywedog reservoir dam, it is in the care of Cadw. Bryn-tail Leadworks is situated 360 feet north of Glyndŵr’s Way.

The construction of the reservoir was enabled by an act of Parliament, the Clywedog Reservoir Joint Authority Act 1963, which asserted that "At certain times… Clywedog Reservoir is situated 2 miles northwest of Glyndŵr’s Way.

Its name, an anglicisation of the local Welsh placename "Fan" or in full "Y Fan", is believed to originate from the names of two ancient farms in the area; Manledd Uchaf and Manledd Isaf.
