Beinn Chaorach is a hill in the southern foothills of the Grampian Mountains of Scotland. It lies in the Luss Hills of Argyll and Bute, between Loch Lomond and Loch Long. Beinn Chaorach is situated 1½ miles northwest of Coire Cuinne.

Luss in Argyll and Bute is the first sizable village that you reach while heading north along Loch Lomond; 3 miles further north is Inverbeg. Although nowadays bypassed by the A82 main road, they're both busy and touristy, especially Luss where every coach excursion stops for photos and the gift shop, disgorging tourists asking if this is the loch that contains the Loch Ness Monster.

Shandon overlooks the Rosneath Peninsula to the west and is bordered by Glen Fruin to the east, which is the site of the Battle of Glen Fruin, one of the last clan… Shandon is situated 4 miles southwest of Coire Cuinne.

Garelochhead is a small town on the Gare Loch in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is the nearest town to the HMNB Clyde naval base. Garelochhead lies 7 miles northwest of Helensburgh. Loch Lomond is a few miles to the east, and Loch Long to the west. Garelochhead is situated 4 miles west of Coire Cuinne.
