Beinn Chaorach

Beinn Chaorach is a hill in the southern foothills of the Grampian Mountains of Scotland. It lies in the Luss Hills of Argyll and Bute, between Loch Lomond and Loch Long. Beinn Chaorach is situated 2 miles northwest of Glen Finlas.

Luss in Argyll and Bute is the first sizable village that you reach while heading north along Loch Lomond; 3 miles further north is Inverbeg. Although nowadays bypassed by the A82 main road, they're both busy and touristy, especially Luss where every coach excursion stops for photos and the gift shop, disgorging tourists asking if this is the loch that contains the Loch Ness Monster.

Garelochhead is a small town on the Gare Loch in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is the nearest town to the HMNB Clyde naval base. Garelochhead lies 7 miles northwest of Helensburgh. Loch Lomond is a few miles to the east, and Loch Long to the west. Garelochhead is situated 4½ miles west of Glen Finlas.

Shandon is a village on the open sea loch of the Gare Loch in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Shandon overlooks the Rosneath Peninsula to the west and is bordered by Glen Fruin to the east, which is the site of the Battle of Glen Fruin, one of the last clan… Shandon is situated 4½ miles southwest of Glen Finlas.
