Hallforest Castle is a keep, one of the oldest in Scotland, as it dates from the 14th century. It is about a mile and a half from Kintore, in Aberdeenshire. Alternative names are Castle of Hallforrest, Hall Forest Castle or simply Hallforrest. Hallforest Castle is situated 1¼ miles southwest of Kintore railway station.

The Bass of Inverurie is the remnant of a motte-and-bailey castle situated within Inverurie Cemetery in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The motte is a natural mound, now about 12 metres high and 18 metres across the summit, which was modified by scarping its sides and digging a surrounding ditch. Bass of Inverurie is situated 2½ miles north of Kintore railway station.
