Dun Law

Dun Law is a hill in the Lowther Hills range, part of the Southern Uplands of Scotland. It is the next Donald after Green Lowther, the highest point of the ridge, when walking northeast and is usually ascended from this direction. Dun Law is situated 2½ miles south of Middle Wood.

Leadhills, originally settled for the accommodation of miners, is a village in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, 5+3⁄4 miles WSW of Elvanfoot. The population in 1901 was 835. Leadhills is situated 2½ miles southwest of Middle Wood.

Elvanfoot is a small village in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Elvanfoot is located at the confluence of the River Clyde and Elvan Water. The Clyde is crossed by a pedestrian suspension bridge that has been closed since 2007 for want of repair. Elvanfoot is situated 2½ miles east of Middle Wood.

Crawford is a village and civil parish in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Crawford is close to the source of the River Clyde and the A74 motorway, 50 miles southeast of Glasgow and 53 miles northwest of Carlisle. Crawford is situated 3½ miles northeast of Middle Wood.
