Crosskirk Broch was a fortification near the present day hamlet of Crosskirk near Thurso, Caithness, Scotland. After thorough archaeological exploration it was destroyed in 1972 since the site had become unsafe due to sea erosion.

Brims Castle is a ruined 16th century L-plan tower house on Brims Ness, Highland region, Scotland, to the south of the Pentland Firth, about 5 miles north west of Thurso.
RAF Dounreay

Was an airfield in Dounreay, UK that opened in April 1944. In 1955 the airfield was taken over by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority for developing a fast breeder reactor. One runway was kept operational until the 1990s for transport to/from the site.
