Great How or Great Howe is a hill of 522 metres in the west of the English Lake District, lying south of Scafell Pike and east of Burnmoor Tarn. It lies in the civil parish of Eskdale, the unitary authority area of Cumberland and the ceremonial county of Cumbria.

Burnmoor Tarn, on Eskdale Fell in Cumbria, England, is the largest entirely natural tarns in the Lake District. Its waters flow into Whillan Beck at the tarn's north-eastern corner, which immediately turns south and flows into Eskdale, joining the Esk at Beckfoot. Burnmoor Tarn is situated 4,000 feet north of Peat Hut.
