Pen y Fan is the highest peak in South Wales, situated in Brecon Beacons National Park. At 886 metres above sea-level, it is also the highest British peak south of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia.

Cribyn is a mountain in the Brecon Beacons with an elevation of 2608 feet, about 300 feet lower than the neighbouring peaks of Pen y Fan and Corn Du. It is a prominent peak in the long and impressive escarpment facing north and running roughly east–west of the central section of the Brecon Beacons.

Corn Du is a summit of the twin topped Pen y Fan and the second highest peak in South Wales at 871.5 m, situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is situated to the south-west of Pen y Fan at a distance of approximately 550 m from it, and is just 13 m lower than Pen y Fan itself.

Presumably, the name of the village derives from Mount Lebanon, also known as the Lebanon Mountains, the ancient name for which was Libanus, a common name for chapels in Wales.
