The Aquarium of Genoa is the largest aquarium in Italy and one of the most significant in Europe. It is located in the Old Harbour area of Genoa, Liguria, and was designed by the architect Renzo Piano as part of the urban redevelopment project created for the Expo 1992, celebrating the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s voyage to the Americas. Aquarium of Genoa is situated 240 metres northwest of San Giorgio.

The Palazzo Ambrogio Di Negro is a building located in Via San Luca at number 2 in the area of the Mercato di Banchi in the historic centre of Genoa, included on 13 July 2006 in the list of the 42 palaces enrolled in the Rolli di Genova that became World Heritage by UNESCO on that date. Palazzo Ambrogio Di Negro is situated 130 metres northeast of San Giorgio.
