St Kilda

St Kilda is a small archipelago in the Atlantic, 40 miles west of the or Western Isles of Scotland, of which it's administratively part. Hirta is the main island, and there is no island called St Kilda.

is an island in St Kilda, Scotland. It is nearly 1 mile long. Its name simply means "fort" in Scottish Gaelic, but the fort itself has been lost – old maps show it on Gob an Dùin, which is at the seaward end.
