The Singapore Botanic Gardens is a 166-year-old tropical garden located at the fringe of the Orchard Road shopping district in Singapore. It is one of three gardens, and the only tropical garden, to be honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Located directly underneath the campus of Hwa Chong Institution, this station was named after the founder of the institution Tan Kah Kee. Tan Kah Kee is situated 460 metres west of The Shelford.

Botanic Gardens is situated 610 metres southeast of The Shelford.
