The Academy of San Carlos, formerly also known as the National School of Fine Arts, is an art academy in Mexico City that historically played an important role in the development of Mexican art and architecture. Academy of San Carlos is situated 190 metres southwest of Plaza de la Santísima.

The Templo Mayor was the main temple of the Mexica people in their capital city of Tenōchtitlan, which is now Mexico City. Its architectural style belongs to the late Postclassic period of Mesoamerica. Templo Mayor is situated 470 metres west of Plaza de la Santísima.

The neighborhood is shaped like a long triangle with the boundaries: Paseo de la Reforma on the north, Avenida Chapultepec on the south, and Eje 1 Poniente on the east. Colonia Juárez is situated 3½ km west of Plaza de la Santísima.
