Hecla or Thacla is a mountain on the island of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. With a height of 606 metres, it is the second-highest hill on the island. The name Hecla is Norse for "serrated".

Stoneybridge is within the parish of South Uist and the chapel was also situated west of the settlement at Ardmichael, having been in existence prior to 1854. Stoneybridge is situated 5 miles southwest of Loch Fada.
