The Poihipi Power Station is a geothermal power station owned and operated by Contact Energy. It is located on Poihipi Road near Taupō in New Zealand. The plant produces around 350 GWh pa, utilising geothermal steam from the Wairakei field, and is operated as part of the Wairakei geothermal system. Poihipi Power Station is situated 1½ km southwest of Te Mihi Power Station.

It is a part of Wairakei, the largest geothermal field in New Zealand, with a surface area of about 25 km2, which lies in the Taupō Volcanic Zone. Craters of the Moon is situated 2½ km southeast of Te Mihi Power Station.
