Colossus of Rhodes

The Colossus of Rhodes was a statue of the Greek sun god Helios, erected in the city of Rhodes, on the Greek island of the same name, by Chares of Lindos in 280 BC. Colossus of Rhodes is situated 620 metres southeast of Elli Beach.

The Aquarium of Rhodes, also known as the Hydrobiological Station of Rhodes, is a research centre, aquarium and museum in Rhodes, Greece. It was built in the 1930s, when the island was under the Italian rule and is currently administered by the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research. Aquarium of Rhodes is situated 280 metres northwest of Elli Beach.
